DYNA-STEP Library ManagementAutomate Host Library Allocation to Increase EfficiencyDYNA-STEP from Tone Software automates dynamic allocation of STEPLIB and ISPF libraries to save time, reduce maintenance, and save system resources. DYNA-STEP eliminates the need for long TSO data set allocation lists or long lists of libraries in TSO logon procedures. It also eliminates the need to place modules in LINKLIST concatenations to simplify logon procedures, and users are no longer required to re-logon to TSO to alter the TSO configuration or to access a new application or panel under ISPF. Using DYNA-STEP, the TSO/ISPF configuration can be altered dynamically at any time to any new configuration or to access any application or multiple applications. DYNA-STEP provides authorized users with efficient, direct access to multiple STEPLIBs, product versions, and DB2 subsystems, all without leaving their ISPF split screen session. Each ISPF split screen may have its own dynamic STEPLIB environment, independent of any STEPLIBs allocated to other split screens or defined in READY mode. Therefore, users can execute multiple releases of an application simultaneously. One release can be run under ISPF split-screen number 1 that has a unique STEPLIB environment and another release under split-screen number 2 with a different STEPLIB, etc. With DYNA-STEP, users work more efficiently, easily moving between environments and applications without repetitive logon and logoff activities. The results are increased user and host machine productivity, which adds up to significant dollar savings. Learn more about DYNA-STEP Dynamic Library Management |
